mage raiding build
wat is the best raiding build id say fire arcane and if u have enough mana and u are willing to buy pots, arcane wud be good too.I'm a great fire spec'd mage, look me up on Wowarmory.com(name is bloodrise, I'm an undead mage)And I only run out of mana when a raid boss mob is 20%%, even then I still have evocation, mana gems, and pots. Plus a trinket that increases pot's by 40%%.
My dps is usually 2-3 dependant if their is someone who is more epic'd then I am. But I do insane amounts of dmg right now, and whats really crazy is I tend to never pull aggro. Maybe its my tanks doing they're jobs, but it works. I'd have to say fire/arc though, they tend to run out of mana fast, but also have crazy ass dps at the same time :)Fire Imo is still

I respecced last night and found with my new spec that I had got rid of most of my AOE's (dragons breath,blastwave) So i am now focused soely on single target damage which is the most important thing to think about when raiding, with the rare exception downing a boss as quick as possible is your role within
the raid.
40/0/21 is amazing!
people underestimate it but it is deadly in a raid. you pick up all of the spell damage, crit, clear casting boosts from arcane but you continue to spam frost bolt. its not too bad on mana either. 40/0/21 is amazing!

this is the spec i use. the only time i am not #1 on the raid DPS is if there is a member who has much better gear then me.
with mana gems and evocation 99%% of the time i never need a pot for mana. for life, that is an other story.
i went deep fire, deep frost, and deep arc, then tried arc fire combos and found for me
and my gear the 40/0/21 is best for sustained DPS, some CC work, and surviving most situations. not to mention with both frost and arc there are mega agro reduction talents you just do not get in fire.
is my wowarmoryI prefer Frostfire i out DPS most of my Arcane mage friends by roughly 100-300 DPS in big raids or small ones but thats cuz my crit is like 50 %% in raid so more ot Streak ^.^best raiding build would be fire arcane.
wanna have 100%% mana regen with great crit and low threat? try this:
the coming patch, meditation, pyromaniac and mage armor all have 50%% mana regen, stacking! so with the talents alone, you have 100%% mana regen plus clearcasting plus your crits refund 30%% of spell's mana cost. you won't ever go oom in the raid. for your armors, use molten armor to add 3%% crit chance and augment that with glyph of improved scorch.
just study that build, and i doubt you'll want anything else.
don't waste your points on stuns and dragon's breath and stuff like that when it's not your role to stun or to daze or disorient mobs. polymorph is the only CC you'll need for the group, and nova covers the rest. 57/3/11 best raid spec if you know how to play it.I so agree with gijudas! There is no
